Dear Readers,

We are proud to have so many of you as members and
supporters of KABVI and readers of KABVI NEWS, which we are pleased to send to you. You will notice that we have increased the scope of our articles beyond politics and into areas of our lives with information we hope you can use in daily living.

Whatever your format preference, we are happy to see that you receive it that way. If the time should come when you no longer wish to receive KABVI NEWS, let us know, so we can remove your name from our mailing list and avoid unnecessary mail in your mailbox.

Producing the news letters takes time and money. Here's a
general breakdown of costs:

The e-mail version and the cassette version are the least
expensive. We encourage you to switch your format preference to cassette or e-mail, if you can.

The most expensive versions are the large print and the
Braille. Envision in Wichita produces our large print for a
specified number of cents per page. We produce our own Braille copies, using volunteer labor and machinery which has a way of breaking down occasionally.

We prefer to not reach a point, as some organizations have done, of needing to reduce the number of issues we produce or to be forced to discontinue producing a newsletter. These options have not been considered. We do not want to find them necessary to consider, so we are asking you to help us keep costs down.

Remember that KABVI is not an entity in itself. An
organization is the sum total of its members and supporters. So to each of you, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of this organization that has worked since 1922 to make life better for all visually impaired Kansans.
